Valley Pocket Gopher
The valley pocket gopher, also known as Botta's pocket gopher, is native to western North America. They are a generally solitary animal that "likes to dig", spending a large portion of its life underground. Valley pocket gophers burrow in various habitats including high mountain valleys and deserts.
